Dr. Niswender is a physician-scientist and endocrinologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He led the establishment of VIVID Health, Vanderbilt’s LBGTQ+ health multi-disciplinary clinical program, is its Executive Medical Director, and Director of the fellowship program in LGBTQ+ health at Vanderbilt. 

He holds other leadership roles across the enterprise including Director of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Clinical Research Center, and mentors numerous trainees at multiple levels of training.
